SuperS-FT
Commercial Pulsed EPR at S-Band (3.4-3.8 GHz)
The Bruker IF concept is utilized yet again to provide Pulsed and CW-EPR performance at another important microwave frequency band, S-Band. SuperS-FT is available as upgrade bridge for ELEXSYS E580 spectrometer systems with IF-functionality.
Naturally, all features of the X-Band CW/FT microwave bridge are transferred to an S-Band operating range of 3.4 – 3.8 GHz.
The SuperS-FT microwave bridge completes Bruker's multi-frequency portfolio ranging over two orders of magnitude from 1 GHz to 100 GHz.
The S-Band split-ring probe of Bruker's Flexline series is the perfect match for S-Band Pulsed EPR experiments. Together with a 40 W solid-state amplifier π/2 pulse lengths of 30 ns at a bandwidth of 80 MHz are obtained.
S-Band Key Applications
ESEEM and HYSCORE are among the major applications of S-Band pulsed EPR because of the improved modulation depth.
The smaller effective g-factor anisotropy also improves DEER distance measurements resultung in an increased sensitivity.
